GOLD
Kahama Greenstone Belt
Significant gold mineralization has been discovered at Bulyanhulu (Now underground Mine), Golden ridge and Jubilee reef. The gold mineralization occurs in all stratigraphic and lithologic units with the exception of granitoids basically in hosted shear zone in metavolcanic rocks.
Mpanda Mineral Field
Mpanda mineral field is unique in Tanzania for having produced most of its gold as a by product of lead and copper mining since 1946. Lead, copper, gold and modest amounts of silver and tungsten occur in several veins and sheared Palaeoproterozoic units
Lupa Gold Field
Gold in Lupa Gold Field is in both lode and secondary deposits with the bulk of historic production from secondary mineralization since 1934, partly from alluvial deposits and partly from weathered rubble zones above or adjacent to quartz.
Iramba-Sekenke Greenstone Belt
Most of gold deposits are in quarts vein with fractured and shears. About 3 km of gold bearing reefs has been identified I the area, Mineralization is confined to pyretic quarts lodes.
Musoma-Mara Greenstone Belt
Gold occurs in variety of geological setting being found in Banded Iron Formation(BIF) and shears as well the mafic volcanic rocks, Gold was discovered at Buhemba in the early 1920s.
URANIUM
